Warhammer Colour – Layer – Runefang Steel
Runefang Steel is a bright silver Layer Paint for building up sharp metallic highlights. This color is ideal for weapons, armor edges, chains, and other metal details that need extra shine and definition.
Bright metallic highlights
Runefang Steel has a light, cool steel tone and works excellently as a final highlight over darker metallic colors. By applying the paint precisely to raised edges and protruding details, metal surfaces instantly gain more contrast and a convincing sheen.
The color is particularly suitable for sharp edge highlights on power armor, swords, axes, chainmail, and mechanical parts.
Designed for layering
Warhammer Colour Layer paints are formulated to be applied smoothly over an existing base color. They contain less pigment than Base Paints, allowing them to flow more easily from the brush, which makes controlled layering and highlighting simpler.
Runefang Steel can, for example, be used over darker silver and steel colors to brighten metal parts step by step.
Versatile for various miniatures
The neutral silver color fits almost any Warhammer project. Use Runefang Steel for Space Marine weapons, Stormcast Eternal armor, swords and axes in fantasy armies, Adeptus Mechanicus machinery, or damaged metal edges on vehicles.
The paint is also highly suitable for small details such as buckles, rivets, and sharp battle damage.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Runefang Steel with a fine brush to raised areas or edges of previously painted metal surfaces. For smoother transitions, the paint can be built up in multiple thin layers.
