Warhammer 40,000 – Getting Started with Orks – 60-53
Warhammer 40,000: Getting Started with Orks is a comprehensive starter set for hobbyists who want to build, paint, and field a complete green horde right away. With 33 push-fit Ork miniatures, eleven Warhammer Colour paints, a starter brush, texture spreader, and an extensive introductory booklet, this box contains almost everything you need to bring your first WAAAGH! to the table.
A complete Orks Combat Patrol
This set includes a full Combat Patrol with a strong mix of leaders, infantry, and a fast vehicle. The Warboss forms the brutal centerpiece of the force and is ideally suited to lead the Boyz forward. The Weirdboy adds unpredictable Ork energy, while twenty Boyz provide the necessary numbers and battlefield pressure.
The ten Gretchin are ideal for holding objectives, screening important units, and performing tasks that a self-respecting Ork would rather not waste time on. The Wartrakk gives the force extra speed and brings the typical improvised character of Ork vehicles to the table.
Ideal for beginner hobbyists
All 33 miniatures are push-fit and can be assembled without plastic glue, making the set particularly accessible for new players looking to get into building and painting miniatures. Clippers are recommended to neatly remove parts from the sprues.
The included 44-page softcover introductory booklet guides you through building and painting the miniatures. It also provides an initial introduction to the Orks and their place within the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Plenty of variation within the green horde
The Ork Boyz feature interchangeable heads, allowing you to add more variety to the different mobs. Some Boyz and Gretchin also have interchangeable torsos for additional posing options.
The Nobs leading the Boyz can be equipped with various crudely built ranged weapons, including kustom shootas, kombi-shootas, and kombi-rokkits. This allows you to visually customize your units and give each group its own recognizable leader.
Selected colours for Orks
The eleven included paint pots have been chosen to paint the entire force in a classic Ork colour scheme. Orruk Flesh provides an accessible base for the green skin, while Abaddon Black, Mephiston Red, and Dawnstone are suitable for clothing, armour plates, and mechanical parts.
Leadbelcher and Runelord Brass give weapons and vehicles a worn metallic look. Zandri Dust, Wraithbone, and Mournfang Brown are useful for teeth, bones, leather, straps, and fabric details. Agrax Earthshade easily adds depth, grime, and shadows. Armageddon Dust and the included texture spreader allow you to directly provide the bases with a dry, dusty surface.
