Enamel wash for grimdark miniatures and skin effects
Umbral Nightshade is an enamel wash with a deep indigo-blue tone, specially formulated for creating cool shadows, pale skin tones, and damaged or scarred skin textures. Ideal for grimdark, horror, and sci-fi miniatures where a dark atmosphere and dramatic contrast are desired.
Dark blue, cold tone:
This wash has a rich, blue-purple hue that works beautifully for shadows in skin, clothing, or armor. Perfect for a "pale corpse" or "bruised flesh" look.
Versatile – skin, carapace, armor:
Umbral Nightshade is suitable for various surfaces such as hide, animal carapaces, or armor. Ideal for combining multiple materials in a single model.
Satin to gloss finish:
Once dry, the wash will have a light sheen. By diluting it with thinner, you can adjust the intensity and sheen to suit your style.
Suitable for brush and airbrush:
You can apply this wash directly with a brush or dilute it in your airbrush. The updated Phase II formula provides better control and consistency.
Fast drying & high pigmentation:
Thanks to its improved formula, the wash dries faster and more evenly than older versions. More pigment means fewer coats and a more vibrant finish.

Dit is een hele goede manier om te beginnen met miniaturen te schilderen met olieverf. Schud ze alsof je leven er vanaf hangt en zorg dat je terpentine bij de hand hebt om het meeste er uit te halen. Onderstaande foto is 5 minuten verschillende villainy-inks uitproberen. Met een beetje oefening kun je in korte tijd erg mooie effecten behalen!
