Enamel rust effect / weathering wash for miniatures and terrain
Ex-Machina is an enamel wash with a warm, orange-rusty tone, specially designed to give your models and scenery realistic rust and corrosion effects. Ideal for metal armor, machinery, weapons, industrial terrain pieces, or ruins in sci-fi/grimdark settings.
Rich rust color:
The orange-rusty tint gives a convincing oxidation effect on metal, armor or neglected objects — as if the metal has been exposed to moisture and weathering for a long time.
Matte / “chalky” finish:
Once dry, Ex-Machina dries matte with a powdery finish, adding to the realism and weathered look of rusted metal.
Layer-friendly & controllable:
You can apply the wash subtly for light rust deposits or more heavily for intense corrosion. Thanks to the reductive techniques (using thinner or a cloth), you can control the strength of the effect.
Can be used with brush and airbrush:
Ex-Machina is airbrush-friendly (thinned with thinner) for larger surfaces, but also works well with a brush for detail work.
