Warhammer Tone Pro Ta'unar Ochre 4 is a lighter ochre shade within the five-part Ta'unar Ochre color range. This warm yellow-brown color is ideal for building the first highlights on fabric, leather, sandstone, dry earth, and other earthy surfaces.
Lighter shade of the Ta'unar Ochre range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges consisting of five progressive shades. Ta'unar Ochre 4 forms the first distinct highlight above the central Ta'unar Ochre 3 midtone.
Use Ta'unar Ochre 1 and 2 for deeper shadows, Ta'unar Ochre 3 as a base color, and then work with Ta'unar Ochre 4 and the lighter Ta'unar Ochre 5 towards the highest points.
Ideal for earthy highlights
The light warm ochre shade works excellently for cloaks, belts, leather gear, and other natural materials. It can also be used to highlight sandstone, dry earth, ruins, and weathered scenery.
By applying Ta'unar Ochre 4 specifically to raised areas, extra contrast is created without the transition to the lightest highlight becoming too harsh.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same color range. Ta'unar Ochre 4 is suitable for layering and highlighting, but can also be used for drybrushing and glazing.
This makes the color effective for both controlled highlights on miniatures and for quickly accentuating texture on bases and scenery.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Ta'unar Ochre 4 in thin layers on raised areas above Ta'unar Ochre 3. Use this shade for broader highlights and then work with Ta'unar Ochre 5 on the sharpest edges and most prominent details.
