Warhammer Tone Pro Shalaxi Violet 2 is a dark violet shade within the five-part Shalaxi Violet colour range. This second shade forms the transition between the deepest shadow and the central midtone and is ideal for fabrics, armour, monster skin, and magical effects.
Second shade of the Shalaxi Violet range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges of five ascending shades. Shalaxi Violet 2 is positioned directly above Shalaxi Violet 1, making it suitable for dark midtones and the first lighter layers.
Use Shalaxi Violet 1 for the deepest shadows and then work towards increasingly lighter violet areas and highlights using Shalaxi Violet 3, 4, and 5.
Ideal for fabrics, skin, and magical effects
The dark violet colour works excellently for cloaks, robes, armour details, and monster or demonic skin. Shalaxi Violet 2 is also highly useful for crystals, runes, magical energy, and mysterious fantasy or sci-fi effects.
As a transitional colour, this shade helps to gradually connect deep purple shadows with the brighter violet tones from the rest of the range.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Shalaxi Violet 2 can be used for basecoating and layering, but can also be applied thinned for glazing and smooth colour transitions.
The paint is also suitable for highlighting and drybrushing on fabrics, skin, armour, and other surfaces with distinct textures.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Shalaxi Violet 2 as a dark base colour or as the first lighter layer over Shalaxi Violet 1. Then proceed with Shalaxi Violet 3 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
