Warhammer Tone Pro Scinari Blue 2 is a dark blue shade within the five-part Scinari Blue color range. This second tone forms the transition between the deepest shadow and the central midtone and is ideal for armor, robes, cloaks, magical effects, and other vibrant blue surfaces.
Second tone of the Scinari Blue range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending tones. Scinari Blue 2 is positioned directly above Scinari Blue 1, making it suitable for dark midtones and the first lighter layers.
Use Scinari Blue 1 for the deepest shadows and then work with Scinari Blue 3, 4, and 5 toward increasingly lighter blue areas and highlights.
Ideal for armor, fabrics, and magic
The dark blue shade works excellently for armor plates, robes, cloaks, and other larger blue surfaces. Scinari Blue 2 is also very useful for magical energy, crystals, runes, and other cool fantasy or sci-fi effects.
As a transitional color, this tone helps to gradually bridge deep shadows with the brighter blue tones from the rest of the range.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Scinari Blue 2 can be used for basecoating and layering, but can also be applied thinned for glazing and smooth color transitions.
The paint is also suitable for highlighting and drybrushing on armor, fabrics, terrain, and other textured surfaces.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Scinari Blue 2 as a dark base color or as the first lighter layer above Scinari Blue 1. Then continue working with Scinari Blue 3 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
