Warhammer Tone Pro Magnus the Red 5 is the lightest shade within the five-part Magnus the Red color series. This bright red-purple color is intended for the final highlights on armor, robes, demonic skin, mutations, and other warm fantasy or sci-fi details.
Lightest shade of the Magnus the Red series
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color series of five ascending shades. Magnus the Red 5 forms the final step in the color gradient and is ideal for the sharpest edges, highest volumes, and most illuminated details.
Use Magnus the Red 1 and 2 for deep shadows, Magnus the Red 3 as the central midtone, and Magnus the Red 4 as the first highlight. Magnus the Red 5 then provides the highest contrast.
Ideal for armor, skin, and magical highlights
The very light red-purple shade works excellently for sharp edges on armor plates, high folds in robes, and the most prominent parts of demonic skin or mutations. Magnus the Red 5 is also very useful for magical energy, runes, and other supernatural effects.
By applying the color sparingly, the deeper red-purple shades remain visible, while forms and fine details stand out strongly.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Magnus the Red 5 can be used for layering, edge highlighting, and drybrushing. This makes the paint suitable for both precise highlights and quickly accentuating texture-rich surfaces.
When thinned, the color can also be used as a glaze to soften the transition between Magnus the Red 4 and the lightest accents.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Magnus the Red 5 precisely to the highest points and sharpest edges. Use Magnus the Red 4 as a transition shade and limit this lightest color to the most illuminated details for a controlled and high-contrast result.
