Warhammer Tone Pro Magnus the Red 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Magnus the Red color series. This deep reddish-purple color is ideal for shadows, dark base colors, and building up rich, warm color gradients on armor, robes, skin, demons, and magical details.
Darkest shade in the Magnus the Red series
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color series consisting of five ascending shades. Magnus the Red 1 serves as the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows within a reddish-purple color gradient.
Continue working with Magnus the Red 2 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter midtones and highlights without having to mix intermediate colors yourself.
Ideal for armor, skin, and dark effects
The very dark reddish-purple shade works excellently for armor plates, cloaks, robes, and ornate details. Magnus the Red 1 is also highly useful for demonic skin, mutations, magical energy, and other dark fantasy or sci-fi effects.
As a dark base, this shade provides enough depth to make the lighter colors in the series stand out clearly.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Magnus the Red 1 is suitable for basecoating, shading, and layering. When thinned, the paint can also be used for glazing and deepening shadows without harsh transitions.
As a dark undercoat for later highlights, this shade also provides a strong foundation on armor, skin, fabrics, and other texture-rich surfaces.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Magnus the Red 1 as a dark base color or place the shade specifically in recesses and deep shadows. Then work with Magnus the Red 2, 3, 4, and 5 to create increasingly lighter reddish-purple volumes and highlights.
