Warhammer Tone Pro Hive Fleet Purple 5 is the lightest shade within the five-part Hive Fleet Purple color range. This bright purple color is intended for the final highlights on chitin, organic armor, monster skin, and other alien or sinister surfaces.
Lightest shade of the Hive Fleet Purple range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges consisting of five progressive shades. Hive Fleet Purple 5 forms the final step in the color gradient and is ideal for the sharpest edges, highest volumes, and most prominent details.
Use Hive Fleet Purple 1 and 2 for deep shadows, Hive Fleet Purple 3 as a central mid-tone, and Hive Fleet Purple 4 as a first highlight. Hive Fleet Purple 5 then provides the highest level of contrast.
Ideal for chitin, skin, and organic highlights
This very light purple shade works excellently for sharp edges on alien armor plates, ridges in chitin, and protruding parts of claws and organic armor. Hive Fleet Purple 5 is also highly useful for monster skin, tentacles, and other fantasy or sci-fi details.
By applying the color sparingly, the deeper purple shades remain visible, while forms, segments, and fine details are brought out with extra strength.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Hive Fleet Purple 5 can be used for layering, edge highlighting, and drybrushing. This makes the paint suitable for both precise highlights and quickly accentuating highly textured organic surfaces.
When thinned, the color can also be used as a glaze to soften the transition between Hive Fleet Purple 4 and the lightest accents.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Hive Fleet Purple 5 precisely to the highest areas and sharpest edges. Use Hive Fleet Purple 4 as a transition shade and limit this lightest color to the most prominent details for a controlled and high-contrast result.
