Warhammer Tone Pro Hive Fleet Purple 3 is the central midtone within the five-part Hive Fleet Purple color range. This rich purple shade is ideal as a primary base color for chitin, organic armor, monster skin, and other alien or sinister details.
Midtone of the Hive Fleet Purple range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five progressive shades. Hive Fleet Purple 3 forms the center of this range, making it exceptionally well-suited as a central base color.
Use Hive Fleet Purple 1 and 2 for deeper shadows and then work toward lighter areas and sharp highlights with Hive Fleet Purple 4 and 5.
Ideal for chitin, skin, and organic surfaces
This purple midtone works excellently for alien armor plates, chitin, claws, and organic armor. Hive Fleet Purple 3 is also highly useful for monster skin, tentacles, cloaks, and other fantasy or sci-fi details.
As a central color, this shade offers enough saturation to stand out immediately, while leaving plenty of room for both deep shadows and lighter highlights.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Hive Fleet Purple 3 can be used for basecoating and layering, as well as highlighting, glazing, and drybrushing.
By combining the paint with the other Hive Fleet Purple shades, you can build a complete purple color gradient without having to mix various intermediate colors yourself.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Hive Fleet Purple 3 as a central base color and work in multiple thin layers for an even finish. Use Hive Fleet Purple 1 and 2 for shadows and Hive Fleet Purple 4 and 5 to further build up lighter volumes and highlights.
