Warhammer Tone Pro Hawkshroud Yellow 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Hawkshroud Yellow color range. This deep orange-yellow color is ideal for shadows and dark undercoats beneath bright yellow surfaces such as armor, heraldry, banners, and hazard markings.

Darkest shade of the Hawkshroud Yellow range

Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending tones. Hawkshroud Yellow 1 forms the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows within a bright yellow gradient.

Continue working with Hawkshroud Yellow 2 through 5 to gradually build up from orange-yellow to increasingly brighter yellow without needing to mix intermediate colors yourself.

Ideal for yellow armor and heraldry

The warm orange undertone makes Hawkshroud Yellow 1 particularly suitable as a shadow color under bright yellow. For example, use the paint for Imperial Fists armor, shields, vehicles, heraldry, and hazard stripes.

The color can also be used for flames, light sources, and other warm effects to add depth before adding lighter yellow tones.

Versatile Tone Pro formula

Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same color range. Hawkshroud Yellow 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be applied thinned for glazing.

By combining the paint with the other Hawkshroud Yellow tones, you can build a powerful yellow gradient where the shadows remain warm and saturated.

Use

Shake the paint well before use. Apply Hawkshroud Yellow 1 as a dark undercoat or use the color specifically in recesses and shaded areas. Then continue working with Hawkshroud Yellow 2, 3, 4, and 5 to build up increasingly lighter yellow volumes and highlights.
