Warhammer Tone Pro – Gnarlwood 4 – 20-024
Series: Warhammer Tone Pro
Type: Acrylic paint for miniatures
Color: Light grey-brown
Tone: 4 of 5
Volume: 12 ml
Warhammer Tone Pro Gnarlwood 4 is a lighter grey-brown shade within the five-part Gnarlwood color range. The color is intended for building up initial highlights on wood, leather, straps, and other natural materials, without the need to mix different brown tones yourself.
Lighter shade in the Gnarlwood range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending tones. Gnarlwood 4 forms the first clear highlight above the central Gnarlwood 3 mid-tone.
Use Gnarlwood 1 and 2 for deep shadows, Gnarlwood 3 as the base tone, and then continue working with Gnarlwood 4 and the even lighter Gnarlwood 5 for sharp highlights.
Ideal for wood and leather
The light, muted brown color works excellently for accentuating wooden weapon shafts, leather straps, boots, bags, and tree bark. Due to the grey undertone, the highlights remain natural and less saturated.
Gnarlwood 4 is also useful for dry earth, weathered scenery, and other surfaces where a soft brown-grey highlight is desired.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed to allow the same paint to be used for different techniques. Gnarlwood 4 is suitable for layering and highlighting, but can also be used for drybrushing or applied thinned as a glaze.
In combination with Tone Pro Shading Medium, you can thin the paint further, while Blending Medium provides extra drying time for smooth color gradients.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Gnarlwood 4 in thin layers on raised areas above Gnarlwood 3. Use the color for broader highlights and then work with Gnarlwood 5 on the sharpest edges and most prominent details.
