Warhammer Tone Pro Eye of Terror 3 is the central midtone within the five-part Eye of Terror color range. This rich purple-red hue is ideal as a main base color for armor, robes, demonic skin, mutations, and other dark fantasy or sci-fi details.
Midtone of the Eye of Terror range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending hues. Eye of Terror 3 forms the center of this range, making it excellent as a central base color.
Use Eye of Terror 1 and 2 for deeper shadows and then work with Eye of Terror 4 and 5 towards lighter areas and sharp highlights.
Ideal for armor, skin, and dark effects
The purple-red midtone works excellently for armor plates, cloaks, robes, and ornate details. Eye of Terror 3 is also very useful for demonic skin, tentacles, mutations, magical energy, and other chaotic effects.
As a central color, this shade offers enough depth and saturation to stand out immediately, while leaving plenty of room for both dark shadows and lighter highlights.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Eye of Terror 3 can be used for basecoating and layering, but also for highlighting, glazing, and drybrushing.
By combining the paint with the other Eye of Terror shades, you can build a complete purple-red color gradient without having to mix different intermediate colors yourself.
Use
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Eye of Terror 3 as a central base color and work in several thin layers for even coverage. Use Eye of Terror 1 and 2 for shadows and Eye of Terror 4 and 5 to further build up lighter volumes and highlights.
