Warhammer Tone Pro Eye of Terror 2 is a dark purple-red shade within the five-part Eye of Terror color series. This second tone forms the transition between the deepest shadow and the central midtone and is ideal for armor, robes, demonic skin, mutations, and supernatural effects.
Second tone of the Eye of Terror series
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color series of five ascending tones. Eye of Terror 2 is positioned directly above Eye of Terror 1, making it suitable for dark midtones and the first lighter layers.
Use Eye of Terror 1 for the deepest shadows and then work with Eye of Terror 3, 4, and 5 toward increasingly lighter purple-red areas and highlights.
Ideal for armor, skin, and dark effects
The dark purple-red color works excellently for armor plates, cloaks, robes, and ornate details. Eye of Terror 2 is also highly useful for demonic skin, tentacles, mutations, magical energy, and other chaotic fantasy or sci-fi effects.
As a transitional color, this tone helps to gradually connect deep shadows with the lighter colors from the rest of the series.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Eye of Terror 2 can be used for basecoating and layering, but can also be applied thinned for glazing and smooth color transitions.
The paint is also suitable for highlighting and drybrushing on skin, fabrics, armor, and other surfaces with distinct texture.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Eye of Terror 2 as a dark base color or as the first lighter layer over Eye of Terror 1. Then continue working with Eye of Terror 3 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
