Warhammer Tone Pro Dataslate Grey 4 is a lighter grey shade within the five-part Dataslate Grey color range. This neutral color is ideal for building up initial highlights on armor, stone, weapons, machinery, and other grey surfaces.
Lighter shade of the Dataslate Grey range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending shades. Dataslate Grey 4 forms the first clear highlight above the central Dataslate Grey 3 midtone.
Use Dataslate Grey 1 and 2 for the deeper shadows, Dataslate Grey 3 as the base tone, and then work towards the highest points with Dataslate Grey 4 and the lighter Dataslate Grey 5.
Ideal for armor and stone
The light neutral grey shade works excellently for power armor, weapons, machinery, and vehicles. In addition, Dataslate Grey 4 is very suitable for rocks, concrete, ruins, and urban bases.
The color is particularly useful for broader highlights before accentuating the sharpest edges and most prominent details with Dataslate Grey 5.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for various painting techniques within the same color range. Dataslate Grey 4 can be used for layering and highlighting, as well as for drybrushing and glazing.
This makes the paint suitable for both controlled highlights on miniatures and for quickly accentuating texture on bases and scenery.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Dataslate Grey 4 in thin layers to raised areas above Dataslate Grey 3. Use this color for broader highlights and then work with Dataslate Grey 5 on the sharpest edges and most prominent details.
