Warhammer Tone Pro Dataslate Grey 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Dataslate Grey color range. This deep neutral grey color is ideal for shadows, dark basecoats, and technical surfaces such as armor, stone, weapons, and industrial scenery.
Darkest shade of the Dataslate Grey range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with color ranges of five ascending shades. Dataslate Grey 1 forms the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows and darkest areas of a grey color gradient.
Continue working with Dataslate Grey 2 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter midtones and highlights without having to mix different shades of grey yourself.
Ideal for armor and stone
The very dark neutral grey shade works excellently for power armor, weapons, machinery, vehicles, and other technical surfaces. In addition, Dataslate Grey 1 is very useful for stone, rocks, ruins, and urban bases.
Due to its neutral undertone, the color combines easily with both cool and warm color schemes.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for various painting techniques within the same color range. Dataslate Grey 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be thinned and applied as a glaze.
The color is therefore suitable for both sharp, industrial surfaces and softer transitions on stone and scenery.
Use
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Dataslate Grey 1 as a dark base color or use the shade precisely in recesses and deep shadow areas. Then continue working with Dataslate Grey 2, 3, 4, and 5 for increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
