Warhammer Tone Pro Chotek Orange 3 is the central midtone within the five-part Chotek Orange colour range. This bright, warm orange hue is ideal as the main base colour for armour, fabrics, heraldry, fire, and other striking orange details.
Midtone of the Chotek Orange range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges of five ascending tones. Chotek Orange 3 forms the centre of this range, making it excellently suited as a central base colour.
Use Chotek Orange 1 and 2 for deeper shadows and then work towards lighter areas and sharp highlights using Chotek Orange 4 and 5.
Ideal for orange armour and warm effects
The bright orange hue works excellently for power armour, vehicles, shields, cloaks, and heraldry. Chotek Orange 3 is also very useful for fire, glowing details, and other warm colour effects.
As a central midtone, the colour provides a powerful orange base without becoming too light immediately, leaving sufficient room for both deep shadows and bright highlights.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Chotek Orange 3 can be used for basecoating and layering, as well as for highlighting, glazing, and drybrushing.
By combining the paint with the other Chotek Orange tones, you can build up a complete orange colour gradient without having to mix intermediate shades yourself.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Chotek Orange 3 as the central base colour and work in several thin layers for smooth coverage. Use Chotek Orange 1 and 2 for the shadows and Chotek Orange 4 and 5 to further build up the lighter volumes and highlights.
