Warhammer Tone Pro – Carmine Blades 1 – 20-141
Series: Warhammer Tone Pro
Type: Acrylic paint for miniatures
Colour: Very dark red
Tone: 1 of 5 – darkest shade
Volume: 12 ml
Warhammer Tone Pro Carmine Blades 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Carmine Blades colour range. This deep red colour is ideal for shadows, dark base colours, and building up rich red surfaces on armour, clothing, heraldry, and other details.
Darkest shade of the Carmine Blades range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges of five progressive shades. Carmine Blades 1 forms the darkest starting point and is intended for the deepest shadows and most saturated dark areas.
Continue working with Carmine Blades 2 through 5 to build up increasingly lighter midtones and highlights without having to mix different red shades yourself.
Ideal for red armour and fabric
The deep red colour works excellently for power armour, cloaks, tabards, shields, and heraldry. Carmine Blades 1 is also well suited for leather details, banners, and other warm surfaces.
By using the colour as a dark base, enough room is left for strong red highlights without the final result becoming too bright or flat.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same colour range. Carmine Blades 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be applied thinned as a glaze.
The paint is therefore suitable for both large armour panels and smaller fabrics and details where a controlled red colour gradient is desired.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Carmine Blades 1 as a dark base colour or use the shade precisely in recesses and deep shadow areas. Then continue working with Carmine Blades 2, 3, 4, and 5 to build up increasingly lighter red volumes and highlights.
