Warhammer Tone Pro Bloodtoof Red 4 is a lighter red shade within the five-part Bloodtoof Red colour range. This bright colour is ideal for building initial highlights on red armour, fabrics, shields, and other prominent red surfaces.
Lighter shade of the Bloodtoof Red range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges consisting of five progressive shades. Bloodtoof Red 4 forms the first distinct highlight above the central Bloodtoof Red 3 midtone.
Use Bloodtoof Red 1 and 2 for deeper shadows, Bloodtoof Red 3 as a base colour, and then work with Bloodtoof Red 4 and the lighter Bloodtoof Red 5 toward the highest points and sharpest edges.
Ideal for bright red highlights
This light, saturated red shade works excellently for power armour, vehicles, shields, cloaks, and tabards. Applying Bloodtoof Red 4 to raised areas gives the red more contrast and vibrancy without jumping straight to a very light final highlight.
The colour is also well-suited for heraldry, banners, and smaller red details.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same colour range. Bloodtoof Red 4 is suitable for layering and highlighting, but can also be thinned for glazing and smooth colour transitions.
Furthermore, the paint is well-suited for drybrushing on surfaces with a lot of relief.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Bloodtoof Red 4 in thin layers to raised areas over Bloodtoof Red 3. Use the colour for broader highlights, then follow up with Bloodtoof Red 5 on the sharpest edges and most prominent details.
