Warhammer Tone Pro Blackstone Void 1 is the darkest shade within the five-part Blackstone Void colour range. This pure black paint is ideal for deep shadows, black base colours, and as a starting point for neutral grey and black gradients.
Darkest shade of the Blackstone Void range
Warhammer Tone Pro works with colour ranges of five progressive shades. Blackstone Void 1 forms the darkest starting point of this range and is intended for the deepest shadows and solid black surfaces.
Continue working with Blackstone Void 2 through 5 to gradually build up from black to lighter grey tones and eventually bright highlights.
Ideal for black armour and deep shadows
The pure black colour is excellent for Space Marine armour, weapons, clothing, machinery, and other dark surfaces. Blackstone Void 1 is also well-suited for deep recesses between armour plates and mechanical parts.
Furthermore, the colour forms a strong base for black leather, rubber, tyres, and dark parts of scenery.
Versatile Tone Pro formula
Warhammer Tone Pro paints are developed for multiple painting techniques within the same colour range. Blackstone Void 1 can be used for basecoating, shading, and layering, but can also be thinned down for glazing.
In combination with the lighter Blackstone Void shades, you can paint controlled black surfaces where details remain visible without jumping straight to harsh white highlights.
Usage
Shake the paint well before use. Apply Blackstone Void 1 as a black base colour or use the paint specifically in the deepest shadow areas. Then work with Blackstone Void 2, 3, 4, and 5 towards increasingly lighter volumes and highlights.
