The Kroot War Shaper is an experienced war leader within the Kroot hunting packs of the T’au Empire. Where Fire Warriors rely on tight firing lines and advanced technology, the War Shaper brings out the instinctive, hunting side of the T’au fighting force: swift, cunning, and relentless once the prey has been found.
Leader for Kroot Hunting Packs
On the battlefield, the Kroot War Shaper is ideal for players who want to give their Kroot units more character and direction. He pairs excellently with Kroot Carnivores, Kroot Farstalkers, Krootox Riders, Kroot Hounds, and other auxiliaries who support the T’au Empire with ambushes, reconnaissance, and close-range pressure.
The War Shaper feels like a field commander who lets his hunters strike at precisely the right moment. He is therefore a logical choice for Kroot-heavy armies, but also a great addition to a broader T’au army that wants to incorporate more organic, aggressive elements.
Choice of Two Characterful Builds
This kit includes two different weapon options, allowing you to visually align the War Shaper with your hunting pack. You can build him with a bladestave and prey-hook, for a more ritualistic and menacing hunter's appearance, or with a dart-bow and tri-blade, which gives him a more dynamic skirmisher look.
Both options emphasize the unique style of the Kroot: less polished technology, more bone, leather, blades, trophies, and field rituals.

For painters, the Kroot War Shaper is an atmospheric character model. Think green, brown, or yellow skin tones, dark shadows, leather, bones, feathers, weathered metal, and small trophies that showcase his status within the pack.
On the 32mm base, you can enhance his hunter theme with jungle plants, dry grass, rocks, alien soil, broken T’au technology, or the remains of defeated prey. By giving him a bit more contrast or striking warpaint, he will stand out beautifully among your regular Kroot Carnivores.
