Legio Custodes - Shield-Captain

Legio Custodes – Shield Captain – 77-06

Shield Captains are among the most experienced and respected warriors of the Legio Custodes. These exceptional commanders combine superhuman combat skills with strategic insight and lead their fellow Custodians personally from the front lines.

Commander of the Legio Custodes

This multipart plastic kit builds one Shield Captain for a Legio Custodes force. The model is clad in richly decorated armor with sculpted iconography and filigree, making him instantly recognizable as a high-ranking warrior of the Emperor’s personal guard.

The Shield Captain can also be used to represent a Tribune, one of the most high-ranking and respected leaders within the Legio Custodes.

Eternity Blade and Praesidium Shield

The Shield Captain is armed with an Eternity Blade and a Praesidium Shield. This combination emphasizes his role as a heavily armed frontline commander who brings both offensive power and strong protection to the battlefield.

The model thus forms a fitting leader for Custodian Guard and other elite units that engage directly in combat.

Choice of two heads

The kit includes two head options. You can build the Shield Captain with an imposing Custodes helmet with a topknot or choose an unhelmeted variant. This allows you to easily customize the model to the look of your own Legio Custodes force.

Extensive painting project

The richly decorated armor offers many possibilities for gold tones, sharp metallic highlights, and contrasting details. The filigree decorations, tabard, weapons, and the large Praesidium Shield lend themselves excellently to extra attention and make the Shield Captain a striking character model.

Red accents, weathered gold, power weapon effects, and subtle battle damage can be used to make the model further match the rest of your Custodes army.
