Legio Custodes - Caladius Grav-Tank

Legio Custodes – Caladius Grav-tank – 77-09

The Caladius Grav-tank is a heavily armed anti-grav vehicle of the Legio Custodes. Thanks to advanced technology, it combines high mobility with heavy armour and powerful firepower, making it excellently suited for eliminating enemy elite units, transports, and light to medium vehicles.

Mobile heavy fire support

Where conventional tanks rely on tracks, the Caladius hovers above the battlefield on advanced grav-systems. This allows it to quickly change position and open fire lines that are difficult for slower vehicles to reach.

This combination of speed and durability makes it ideal as mobile heavy support within a Custodes force.

Twin Iliastus accelerator cannon

The primary armament consists of a turret-mounted twin Iliastus accelerator cannon. This heavy weapons system is particularly suited for putting pressure on armoured targets and heavily armed infantry.

Additionally, the chassis can be equipped with a twin lastrum bolt cannon for extra fire against infantry, or a twin neutronium cascade projector for a different form of support firepower.

Characteristic Custodes vehicle

The streamlined hull, anti-grav technology, and richly decorated armour panels give the Caladius a distinctly different look compared to vehicles of the Legiones Astartes or Solar Auxilia.

For painters, the model offers plenty of room for gold, red accents, polished metal, and Custodes heraldry. Subtle weathering, heat discolouration around the weapons, and damage on the lower hull can add extra depth to the vehicle.
