The Archivist is a mysterious Zoat: a powerful xenos, data broker, and manipulator operating in the shadows of the Imperium. In Kill Team, this is no ordinary operative, but a Nemesis Operative who can completely change a mission as a dangerous third party, ally, or adversary.
A cunning and dangerous Nemesis Operative
The Archivist is designed for Kill Team players who want to add more narrative tension to their games. This model can be used as a non-player operative in solo and cooperative missions, as well as an additional element in head-to-head games where both players must contend with a powerful xenos on the battlefield.
Instead of merely adding brute force, The Archivist primarily brings threat, manipulation, and uncertainty. He is large, tough, and technologically advanced, making him a perfect fit for scenarios involving secret data, xenos artifacts, negotiations gone wrong, or a treacherous deal in the shadows of the killzone.
A striking model with a classic Warhammer aesthetic
Zoats are an ancient and beloved xenos species within Warhammer history, and The Archivist gives that concept a modern Kill Team interpretation. His centaur-like build, heavy armor, advanced weapons, and alien details make him a true eye-catcher among smaller operatives.
The model works excellently as a scenario piece, boss, or a special addition to a narrative campaign. For players who enjoy building narrative missions, this is a strong choice to add more character and unpredictability to Kill Team.
Painting fun with xenos technology and organic forms
For painters, The Archivist offers a beautiful mix of organic skin, armor plates, technology, and alien details. You can paint him in natural skin tones with dark armor, or opt for a more mysterious xenos look with glowing lenses, strange metals, and contrasting energy colors.
The large 50mm base provides ample space for extra atmosphere. Think of abandoned data banks, broken ship floors, ruins, cables, crystals, or ancient xenos relics to emphasize his role as a data broker and shadow player.
