Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team – Goremongers – 103-89
The Goremongers are rampaging Khornate cultists who have witnessed the glory of Khorne's daemons and now seek only blood, violence, and apotheosis. Where elite kill teams rely on discipline, technology, or stealth, the Goremongers storm forward with chain weapons, ritualistic slaughter, and fanatical bloodlust.
Khorne Cultists for Kill Team
On the battlefield, the Goremongers are an aggressive, melee-focused kill team for players who want to apply pressure from the first moment. They don't want to wait patiently or stay at a safe distance, but rather isolate enemies, attack them, and turn the killzone into a bloody sacrificial altar.
Their playstyle suits coaches who enjoy pace, risk, and direct confrontation. Positioning remains important, but the team's ethos is clear: forward, shed blood, and earn Khorne's favor.
Specialists Full of Violence and Ritual
The set includes components to build various specialist operatives, including characterful roles like the Skullclaimer, Inciter, and Impaler. This gives the team more variety than a simple group of cultists: each operative feels like a different kind of fanatical butcher within the same bloodthirsty gang.
The models are full of Khornate details, crude weapons, chains, masks, trophies, and tense, aggressive poses. They work excellently as a complete Kill Team unit, but can also serve as a conversion base for Chaos Cultists, World Eaters-themed forces, or narrative Chaos warbands.
Painting Fun with Blood, Skin, and Rust
For painters, the Goremongers are a delightful grimdark project. Think pale or red skin tones, scars, warpaint, dried blood, rusty chains, weathered metal, and dirty clothing. Red accents, brass trims, and dark bases immediately enhance the Khorne aesthetic.
Bases with broken Imperial floors, ash, skulls, gore, rusty metal, or arena-like terrain perfectly suit their role as bloody cult troops. By giving each specialist their own color accent or trophy, the kill team quickly gains a strong warband identity.
