Warhammer Kill Team – Ambull – 102-08
This is a web-exclusive item – different discounts apply to this than to the regular Games Workshop range.
The Ambull is no ordinary operative, but a massive xenos threat that can completely change a killzone. This subterranean monster bursts through rubble, metal, and rock as if it were nothing, while smaller Borewyrm Infestations make the battlefield even more dangerous for anyone who comes too close.
A Nemesis Operative for thrilling Kill Team missions
This set is intended as a non-player operative for Kill Team and is perfect for solo and cooperative scenarios where your kill team must face a large, monstrous threat. The Ambull feels like a true boss encounter: tough, dangerous, and present enough to completely dictate the pace of the mission.
In head-to-head games, the Ambull can also be used to add extra chaos and risk. Instead of just fighting each other, both players must contend with a ferocious xenos roaming in the middle of the killzone.
Monstrous presence on the battlefield
The Ambull is an imposing model with thick claws, heavy armour plating, and a menacing, insectoid build. The Borewyrm Infestations enhance the theme of a subterranean plague gnawing through the environment and suddenly appearing where your operatives are least safe.
For players who enjoy playing Kill Team with more narrative, this is an excellent addition. Think of rescue missions in abandoned mines, expeditions into xenos ruins, overwhelmed mining colonies, or special scenarios where a kill team must eliminate a much larger threat.
Painting fun with skin, chitin, and subterranean bases
For hobbyists, the Ambull offers plenty of room for organic textures. The large plates, claws, and muscular forms lend themselves well to contrasts between dark chitin, pale skin, glossy claws, and muddy subterranean effects.
The Borewyrms are perfect for extending the basing theme with tunnels, cracked ground, rock, dust, rusty mining equipment, or industrial debris bases. With some extra basing material, you can make the Ambull look as if it has just burst from the ground.
