GamersGrass – Deer Fern – GGLP-DF
The Deer Fern from GamersGrass is a set of laser-cut fern plants for bases, dioramas, and tabletop terrain. With their narrow, natural leaf structure, these plants instantly give a moist, forested, and realistic appearance to your miniatures and scenery. They are ideal for shady forests, riverbanks, swamps, jungle floors, and overgrown ruins.
Ferns for forest floors and shady terrains
These laser plants are perfect for projects where you want to add more natural undergrowth. Use them on bases for Warhammer, Age of Sigmar, Middle-earth, Bolt Action, Dungeons & Dragons, or display models to add depth to forest floors, stream banks, old paths, ruins, and dioramas.
The Deer Fern shape works excellently alongside rocks, tree roots, water effects, moss, shrubs, grass tufts, and dark earth textures. This quickly gives a base a greater sense of scale and makes the environment feel more natural.
Easy to shape and place
The plants are supplied as laser-cut parts that you carefully remove from the sheet, shape, and attach to your base or terrain piece. By slightly bending the leaves or placing them in different directions, a more natural, three-dimensional effect is quickly created.
Use tweezers for precise placement and secure the plants with a small amount of PVA glue or super glue. For extra realism, you can subtly drybrush, ink the leaves, or apply light highlights along the edges.
Versatile for forests, jungles, and ruins
Deer Fern is an excellent fit for elf bases, forested RPG scenes, swamp edges, jungle temples, overgrown sci-fi ruins, and historical dioramas. They are also suitable for naturally filling empty space around larger miniatures, monsters, or terrain pieces.
Combine them with Bracken, Dry Bracken, Plantain Lily, shrubs, flowers, and texture paints to create a convincing natural environment with variations in height, color, and texture.
