Warhammer 40,000 – Death Guard – Blightlord Terminators – 43-51
The Blightlord Terminators are the heavily armoured elite of the Death Guard: unyielding warriors in rotten Cataphractii Terminator armour, imbued with Nurgle's blessings. Where ordinary troops would succumb to enemy fire, these Terminators advance slowly but unstoppably.
Elite Infantry for the Front Line
Blightlord Terminators are ideal for Death Guard players who want to add a tough, menacing core to their army. They combine heavy armour with a wide arsenal of short and medium-range weapons, making them excellent for holding objectives, threatening elite infantry, and supporting a slow but relentless advance.
They fit well into an army focused on applying pressure, seizing positions, and forcing the opponent to commit significant firepower to a unit that isn't easily removed.
Numerous Weapon Options and Nurgle Character
The kit includes various weapons, such as combi-bolters, bubotic axes, baleswords, a reaper autocannon, plague spewer, blight launcher, flail of corruption, and a combi-weapon with options for combi-plasma, combi-flamer, or combi-melta.
This allows you to build the unit with a clear role: more focused on firepower, on brutal melee impact, or as an all-round Terminator unit that remains flexible. Visually, the models are full of Death Guard details such as rusted plates, mutations, tentacles, horns, cracks, and infected iconography.
Painting Fun with Rust, Rot, and Heavy Armour
For painters, Blightlord Terminators are a great Death Guard kit. The large armour plates are perfect for weathered green armour, rust, peeling paint, slime trails, and dark metals. The organic details allow for sickly skin tones, purple bruises, yellow pus, and glistening Nurgle effects.
On the 40mm bases, you can further emphasize their heavy, polluting presence with mud, broken industrial floors, decaying ground, toxic pools, or scattered debris.
