Citadel Layer: Straken Green is a muted grey-green paint ideal for highlights, natural colour transitions, and brightening up military, organic, and fantasy colour schemes. Its tone is less vibrant than many other greens, making it particularly effective for realistic camouflage, weathered clothing, skin tones, and terrain accents.

For controlled layers and natural highlights

As a Layer paint, Straken Green is designed to be painted over a base colour or a previous layer. The paint builds up well in thin layers, allowing you to add depth to green surfaces without the result becoming too harsh or unnatural. Use it, for example, on uniforms, cloaks, backpacks, orc-like skin, scales, foliage, or armour details.

Strong for military and organic themes

Straken Green pairs excellently with Astra Militarum, Orks, Orruks, jungle armies, forest creatures, and models with a survival or camouflage aesthetic. This colour is also very useful for basing, for example, for moss, dry vegetation, muddy edges, and weathered terrain elements.

Combines beautifully with other green tones

This paint works well as a highlight over darker greens and khaki tones and can be further brightened with Ogryn Camo for sharper accents. Slightly thin the paint and work with multiple thin layers for a clean, matte finish that keeps the details of your miniature beautifully visible.
