Skrag Brown is a Citadel Layer paint with a warm orange-brown color. This shade is ideal for building up highlights on leather, fur, wood, rusty surfaces, earthy clothing, and warm skin or monster tones.

Citadel Layer paints are intended to be painted over basecoats. Skrag Brown works beautifully as a highlight over colors such as Mournfang Brown, Doombull Brown, Rhinox Hide, or other warm brown tones. Building up thin layers creates more depth, warmth, and definition without obscuring details.

Strong for leather, furs, and fantasy models

This color is excellent for belts, bags, saddles, boots, animal furs, wooden parts, horns, orc skin accents, and barbarian equipment. Skrag Brown is also a very useful color for rusty metal edges, dusty bases, and desert-like details.

Easy to combine with washes and edge highlights

Use Skrag Brown after a brown wash to re-light raised details, or as an intermediate layer towards lighter brown and skin tones. The matte acrylic formula is easy to control with a brush and is suitable for layering, stippling, edge highlights, and small texture details.
