As a Layer paint, Phalanx Yellow is developed to paint over a base coat or previous layer. Yellow paint often looks best in multiple thin layers, allowing you to gradually build up the color without losing details. For example, use it on shoulder pads, helmets, banners, weapons, runes, energy effects, and decorative symbols.

Strong for heraldry, fire, and warm accents

Phalanx Yellow pairs excellently with Imperial Fists, Aeldari, T’au, Seraphon, fantasy heroes, and models with striking yellow details. This shade is also very useful for flames, lava effects, warning markings, gemstones, and sharp highlights on orange or ochre-colored surfaces.

Combines well with other yellow and warm tones

This color works well as a highlight over darker yellow, ochre, and orange tones. For extra sharp accents, you can further lighten it with a light beige, ivory, or almost white shade. Thin the paint slightly and work with multiple thin layers for a clean, matte result where sculpted details remain clearly visible.
