Citadel Layer – Dorn Yellow – 22-80
Citadel Layer: Dorn Yellow is a very light, bright yellow paint ideal for sharp highlights, fresh accents, and brightening up yellow, orange, and warm colour schemes. The colour has a soft lemon-yellow appearance and works excellently as a final highlight on heraldry, armour, flames, lenses, and decorative details.
For light yellow highlights and fine accents
As a Layer paint, Dorn Yellow is designed to be painted in a controlled manner over a base colour or previous layer. Since light yellow shades work best in multiple thin layers, you can build up the colour gradually without losing detail. Use it, for example, on shoulder pads, helmets, banners, weapons, runes, energy effects, and warning markings.
Strong for heraldry, fire, and warm schemes
Dorn Yellow pairs excellently with Imperial Fists, Aeldari, T’au, Seraphon, fantasy heroes, and models with striking yellow accents. This shade is also very useful for fire and lava effects, glowing lenses, gemstones, and sharp highlights on orange or ochre surfaces.
Combines beautifully with other yellow shades
This colour works excellently as a light highlight over Phalanx Yellow, Flash Gitz Yellow, or other warm yellow shades. For extra soft transitions, you can apply it thinly in multiple layers; for the sharpest accents, you can combine it with an ivory or almost white shade. Thin the paint slightly for a crisp, matte result where sculpted details remain clearly visible.
