Citadel Layer: Baneblade Brown is a light, neutral brown shade ideal for highlights, soft earth tones, and for brightening leather, fabric, wood, and basing details. The colour has a muted beige-brown appearance, making it very useful for realistic and weathered colour schemes.

For natural layers and subtle highlights

As a Layer paint, Baneblade Brown is designed to be applied in a controlled manner over a base colour or previous layer. The paint builds up well in thin layers, allowing you to add definition to brown and sandy surfaces without the result becoming too bright. Use it, for example, on cloaks, belts, pouches, boots, weapon shafts, horns, and terrain pieces.

Excellent for leather, fabric, and basing

Baneblade Brown perfectly complements fantasy and sci-fi miniatures with an earthy, dusty, or military look. Think of weathered clothing, dry mud, sandstone, rocks, wooden details, leather equipment, and bases with a desert, wasteland, or ruin theme. This shade is also very useful for subtle highlights on khaki and beige surfaces.

Combines beautifully with other earth tones

This colour works well as a highlight over darker browns and khaki shades, and can be further brightened with lighter beige or bone-coloured paints for sharper accents. Slightly thin the paint and work with multiple thin layers for a clean, matte result that keeps the details of your miniature beautifully visible.
