The Hellhound is a fast and aggressive assault tank vehicle of the Astra Militarum, built to burn enemies out of cover and bring short-range firepower to the front lines. Where Basilisks and Manticores bombard the enemy from afar, the Hellhound drives forward to clear out bunkers, ruins, and infantry positions.
Short-range threat for your Astra Militarum army
On the battlefield, the Hellhound is ideal for players who want to give their Astra Militarum more mobile pressure. It fits well with armies that don't just want to shoot from the back, but also actively want to threaten objectives and force enemy infantry out of strong positions.
The Hellhound feels most at home in urban combat, dense terrain tables, and scenarios where cover and objectives are central. It is fast enough to move to key positions and threatening enough to make light and medium troops play cautiously.
Can be built as a Hellhound, Devil Dog, or Bane Wolf
This kit offers multiple build options. You can build the vehicle as a classic Hellhound with an inferno cannon, but also as a Devil Dog with a melta cannon or a Bane Wolf with a chem cannon. This allows you to choose which role best suits your army: burning area control, anti-tank threat, or toxic short-range support.
The hull-mounted secondary weapon is also flexible to build, with a choice of heavy bolter, heavy flamer, or multi-melta. Additionally, you can finish the vehicle with a spotter or a closed turret hatch.
Painting fun with flames, tanks, and regimental details
For hobbyists, the Hellhound offers plenty of room for military weathering and dangerous details. Think of heat discolouration around the weapons, soot marks, mud on the tracks, warning stripes, fuel tanks, and damaged armour.
With the included Astra Militarum Vehicle Transfer Sheet, you can finish the vehicle with regimental markings, numbers, and Imperial iconography. Cadian green, Armageddon-style, urban camouflage, desert colours, or your own regimental scheme all work excellently on this compact assault armour.
