Ik had dit in eerste instantie besteld voor basing bits. Bij aankomst bleek dat de grotere stukken naar de bodem van de verpakking was gezakt en dacht ik dat er weinig grotere stukken in zaten. Toen ik het over deed in een andere opslagbak, zag ik dat er toch wel wat grotere stukken in zaten en dat ik het ook heel goed kan gebruiken als bodem bedekker bij een diorama.
The pot doesn't contain as many bits as shown. While I don't think it's bad, and also for the price, it would have been nice to have more bits included as shown in the picture.
Ik ben helaas niet tevreden met dit product. Wat eruitziet als kleine steentjes blijkt in werkelijkheid samengeperst zand te zijn. Zodra je het mengsel schudt of beweegt, verpulveren de “steentjes” tot microscopisch poeder. Daardoor verliest de basing mix direct zijn mooie textuur en wordt het resultaat rommelig en praktisch onbruikbaar.
Dat vind ik extra jammer gezien de prijs — dit is geen goedkope grap — en vooral omdat nergens wordt aangegeven dat dit kan gebeuren. Merken zoals Base X gebruiken wél echte steentjes en raden zelfs aan om je base in het mengsel te dippen en te schudden. Vanuit die ervaring heb ik dit hier ook gedaan, met als gevolg een nare verrassing en een verpest product.
Als dit materiaal zo kwetsbaar is, zou dat echt duidelijk vermeld moeten worden. In de huidige vorm vind ik de kwaliteit het geld niet waard.
