DM Stash – 5E Campaign: Elves of the Golden Sun
In Elves of the Golden Sun, the heroes awaken in a prison in Hinatal, the ancient city of the Sun Elves. Their situation seems hopeless until their own guards suddenly release them due to a prophecy said to have been delivered by the Great Sun Glanion. However, their freedom comes with a dangerous price: they must expose the influence of the Cult of Seroca, a mysterious sect deeply embedded within Hinatal society.
A 5E campaign full of Sun Elves, prophecies, and hidden cults
This 5E campaign is part of the Divine Gambit saga and is designed for characters of levels 5 to 6. The adventure combines political intrigue, religious tension, investigation, and dangerous confrontations in a city where ancient elven power clashes with new fanatics.
The Sun Elves of Hinatal have lost much over the centuries and refuse to let their rebuilding efforts be destroyed by rising zealots. For players, this means a campaign where they must not only fight but also discover who to trust, which layers of the city have already been corrupted, and how far Seroca's conspiracy truly reaches.
Hinatal and the shadow of Seroca
Hinatal is a strong setting for Dungeon Masters who want an adventure with clear pressure but enough room for investigation and roleplay. The heroes begin as prisoners, are released by the very authorities who held them, and must then work within a society that likely views them with suspicion.
The Cult of Seroca poses a creeping threat. Their influence is not only found in dark alleys or hidden temples but spreads through various layers of Hinatali society. This makes Elves of the Golden Sun ideal for groups who enjoy conspiracies, social tension, hidden enemies, and slowly escalating revelations.
New Player Option: Oath of the Horizon Paladin
In addition to the main adventure, this campaign includes the new Oath of the Horizon Paladin subclass. This paladin embodies dawn and dusk, endings and new beginnings, and the continuous cycles of the world.
The subclass gives players a thematically strong option for a paladin who can strengthen allies and hinder enemies with powers of Daybreak and Nightfall. Perfect for characters who swear not only by justice but also by balance, renewal, and the transition between light and darkness.
Contents of the Set
This 5E campaign includes a 116-page campaign PDF for characters of levels 5–6. The adventure is designed for approximately 3 to 6+ play sessions, depending on playstyle, group size, and how much room the Dungeon Master allows for investigation, roleplay, and side quests.
Additionally, the campaign includes extra game materials such as an A2 printable regional map of the kingdom of Sudd Tohst, a city map of Hinatal, 6 original battlemaps in A1-A3 format, 16 original statblocks, 21 magic items, and 3 premade character sheets with backstories.
