AK Interactive 3GEN Light Rust is a bright, warm rust tone from the 3rd Generation Acrylics series. The color is ideal for building up fresh corrosion, light rust spots, and weathered metal surfaces on miniatures, vehicles, and dioramas.

Light rust color for highlights

Light Rust works excellently as a highlight within more extensive rust effects. The color combines well with Medium Rust and Dark Rust, helping to give rust layers more depth and variation.

The warm orange undertone also makes the paint suitable for chipping, damaged armor edges, and heavily oxidized details.

Usage

Apply Light Rust locally to edges and surfaces where rust should be most visible. Combine with darker rust colors, washes, and pigments for a more realistic weathered effect.
