AK Interactive 3GEN Dark Grey is a deep neutral grey from the 3rd Generation Acrylics series. The color is widely applicable for miniatures, vehicles, and dioramas and forms a strong base for dark surfaces without immediately resorting to pure black.

Versatile dark base color

Dark Grey works well for armor, weapons, tires, machinery, buildings, and urban terrain. The color is also very useful as a shadow tone under lighter greys or as a base for black color schemes with more depth.

The paint has a matte finish and high pigment concentration for even coverage and good brush control.

Usage

Apply the paint in multiple thin layers for a smooth result. For blends, shadows, and detail work, the paint can be thinned with water or suitable acrylic thinner.
