AK Interactive 3GEN Dark Blue is a deep, cool blue hue from the 3rd Generation Acrylics series. The color is ideal for dark uniforms, armor, vehicles, fantasy and sci-fi miniatures, and strong shadow areas.

Deep dark blue shade

Dark Blue works excellent as a base color for dark blue surfaces and as a shadow tone under lighter blues. Its cool appearance makes the color particularly suitable for marine, night, and futuristic color schemes.

The shade combines easily with Imperial Blue, Ultramarine Blue, and lighter blue hues for controlled transitions and highlights.

Usage

Apply Dark Blue in multiple thin layers for an even result. Combine the color with Imperial Blue or Ultramarine Blue for highlights and with Dark Blue-Grey, Anthracite Grey, or black for deeper shadows.
