AK Interactive 3GEN Black Red is a very dark reddish-brown acrylic paint from the 3rd Generation Acrylics series. The color is ideal for deep shadows, dark armor, leather, and grimdark color schemes where black would be too harsh.

Very dark red shade

Black Red works excellently as a shadow color under red, burgundy, and brown. Its deep warm undertone also makes the paint suitable for leather, weathered surfaces, dried blood effects, and dark organic details.

The matte finish and high pigment concentration ensure even coverage and good brush control.

Usage

Apply the paint in multiple thin layers for a smooth result. Combine Black Red with Burnt Red, Wine Red, or Scarlet Red to gradually build up lighter red volumes.
